RPG Maker MZ and Delay Apology


UPDATE: Assets will NOT be ported to MZ. Refer to the next post for more details on the future plans...


    The release of a new version of the core engine, RPG Maker MZ, was announced for August 20, 2020. After release, I will begin porting assets to there.

    So far, the new version seems to be similar to the current engine, RPG Maker MV, but with a few significant tweaks, including large improvements to animations, possible new battle systems that may greatly improve development time towards the intended design, and a greatly improved character generator that will likely be used to remake existing characters. The basic design of main characters is not intended to change, and all portraits currently being used are intended as placeholders. I am currently looking for artists to hire, and anyone interested is urged to e-mail at Business@CreaterGames.com.

    (I would like to  note here that I have began to use Ækashics incredible library of enemy sprites, a few planned to be shown in the second demo. More details below...)

    The art style itself shouldn't be changed due to this, as I will be transferring assets currently being used and the extended amount of new assets seem to fit very well with the current design.

    I still plan on releasing a new update showcasing my basic idea for the battle system. I greatly apologize for just how much longer this is taking than intended. I had originally wanted this second demo to be released within a week or two of the first, and when I realized this was taking much longer than intended, I should have made an announcement then.

    I thank you all for your incredible patience and hope everyone keeps an eye on this project. On a side note, what do you think about a Patreon or Kickstarter to really try and get things off the ground? I think it may be way too early for that though.
